Every cosmetic surgery patient in Australia needs a referral from their usual GP or another independent medical practitioner. It’s a feature, not a hurdle: your GP knows your history, flags anything relevant early, and remains a sounding board with no stake in the outcome. If you don’t have a regular GP, we’ll explain exactly what to ask for at any general practice.

At least two pre-operative consultations are required, at least one of them in person with your operating surgeon. The second typically reviews your CT together, finalises the plan and the realistic range for your anatomy, works through your accumulated questions, and — if you wish to proceed — completes informed consent with your surgeon personally. You’ll receive everything in writing: plan, risks, recovery protocol, and a complete itemised quotation covering surgical, anaesthetic and facility fees. No pressure and no incentives — that isn’t how specialist practice works.

A minimum seven days between consent and booking, required by law and genuinely useful: re-read your written information, talk to your GP and your people, look at your calendar with the corset timeline in mind.
